Mountain High Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in commemoration Mountain High is proud to announce its contribution to the fight.

Wrightwood CA - October 24, 2007- Skiers at Mountain High will be wearing pink tickets this season. It is not a fashion statement but a statement of survival and hope. The California resort has teamed up with Revlon to raise awareness for cancer research and hopes to contribute more than $100,000 to the cause. Now any guest visiting Mountain High has the option of encoding their lift pass on a customized “Pink Ticket” for just $1.00 more. Mountain High will then match that dollar in a donation to the Revlon Run/Walk for Women, one of the largest fundraising events for cancer research in the United States.

Said Sherri Cater, Technologies Manager, “We’re really excited to be involved with such a great program. Revlon has distributed nearly 50 million dollars to women with cancer and their families, and I personally have walked ten times.” Mountain High is proud to be part of the cure and looks forward to reaching its goal of $100,000 this winter.

In addition to the ticket, Mountain High has placed a pink terrain feature on the mountain to further support for the cause. Painted by artist Steve Lopez of frustr8.com, this jib is sure to attract the attention of both men and women.

Says John McColly, Director of Marketing, “The only way you can make a difference is to participate. Whether you join us on the slopes or on the streets of Los Angeles, we hope you will make an effort this winter so we can one day put an end to this terrible disease.
